The Fuse

The Fuse formed in summer 2006, and the band achieved success relatively quickly – in May 2007, LA music industry legend Russ Regan – who discovered and signed Elton John – heard the band’s single ‘Everybody Knows The Way’ and promptly offered them a deal. The band went to LA to record their debut album. Sadly Velocity Entertainment went bust in the financial crisis of 2008 and The Fuse headed back to London.

Playing small clubs and bars the band were quickly scouted and offered a residency at trendy Native Tongue in London. Increasingly well known, The Fuse were offered a support slot with leading Coldplay cover band Coldplace at Mr Kyps in Poole, and the success of this show led to The Fuse playing to large audiences all over the country.

In Spring 2010, Benelux promoter Bear Brown offered The Fuse a slot on a Coldplace tour of Holland. So popular did The Fuse prove, that they were put on stage that summer with none other than UB40. The Fuse were also critically acclaimed for their performance at the Festyland Festival later that year. 2011 saw further shows in Holland, and a debut tour of Germany, including a slot at the Unterempfenbach festival in Bavaria.

In January 2012 following an enormous surge in popularity on Twitter, The Fuse headlined two UK festivals, Pembrokeshire Fish Week Festival and Richmond World Music Festival. UK booking agency Inspired Artists snapped The Fuse up, and two UK tours in Spring 2013 followed.

Summer 2013 saw the biggest shows of the band’s career thus far, playing two shows with rock legends Foreigner.

In August 2013 the band took a writing sabbatical, and in Autumn 2014 supported up and coming UK band E of E to trial the new songs. After an incredible reaction to the band (see live review below), further shows are being booked in the UK for 2015, to accompany the release of the new album, produced by long term Fuse fan Javier Weyler (ex-Stereophonics drummer), for release in Spring 2015.
